Living Faith: Walking Through the Everyday with Jesus
Life with Jesus is a mix of the profound and the perfectly ordinary. Sometimes it’s a quiet morning prayer with a steaming cup of tea, and other times it’s trying to remember if you turned off the stove while your toddler is painting the dog with washable markers. Living faith means bringing Jesus into all of it—the important stuff and the silly stuff.
The Bible reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). That’s easier said than done when the car won’t start or the Wi-Fi keeps dying—but even there, we’re called to lean on Him. Living faith is about asking Jesus to guide the big decisions, comfort us in the messy moments, and make our hearts grateful even when the laundry is piled to the ceiling.
We walk with Jesus because He is our hope, Savior, and Creator. He’s the one who sees our struggles, our joy, and yes—our weird little mishaps—and still says, “Come to me, all who are weary” (Matthew 11:28). Living faith doesn’t mean life is perfect, it means life is possible because He is with us. It’s noticing His handiwork in a sunset, hearing His encouragement in a friend’s laughter, and trusting Him when life feels too heavy.
So today, lean on Him in the small stuff, trust Him in the big stuff, and laugh at the absurd stuff. After all, following Jesus is the greatest adventure—sometimes with spilled coffee, sometimes with answered prayers, but always with His love guiding the way.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7)—even if that path sometimes leads through messy kitchens and overgrown gardens.
