Motherhood: The Hardest, Most Rewarding Job
Motherhood is like trying to juggle flaming torches while riding a unicycle—you never quite get a day off, and some days you just hope nothing catches fire! Yet, despite the messy laundry, endless questions, and the occasional meltdown (yours or theirs), it’s also one of the most joyful and rewarding callings God can give. The Bible reminds us that children are a blessing from the Lord:
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” — Psalm 127:3
Every hug, every giggle, every small moment of teaching your child about God’s love is planting seeds that will last a lifetime. Jesus Himself valued children, saying:
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14
Motherhood isn’t meant to be perfect—it’s meant to be faithful. God sees your sacrifices, your late-night prayers, and your tireless effort, and He calls you His partner in shaping little hearts. So when your child covers themselves in peanut butter, or refuses to wear pants for the third day in a row, remember: He’s with you, laughing with you, and guiding you every step of the way.
